"We brought Maya and Kaya home from Rough Water Retrievers in November of 2002. We were looking for a dog with good manners, a good nose, and a phenomenal family background. We came looking for "a" dog and fell in love with two. Maya and Kayla are a delight to our family, as well as excellent hunters. We thought taking 2 at once would be difficult, but it was actually easier as they do a great job of entertaining each other while playing in the back yard. We constantly receive compliments everywhere we go about their temperament, shiny coats, and beautiful body structures."
"In 7 years of pheasant hunting, I have had a 100% retrieval rate. Both dogs were retrieving birds at 6 months of age. My duck hunting is primarily done in thick swamps and I still have a 98% retrieval success rate! Both dogs have had better than 600 yard retrieves while hunting geese in the corn fields of central New York. They are easy to train and pick up concepts quickly." Kersten and Jasmine
